PREVENTING CHILDHOOD OBESITY:

EPODE Keys for Successful Interventions

Dear Sir / Madam,

On behalf of the EPODE European Network Coordination Team, I would like to thank you for your participation to this second EEN symposium that was held last 7 April in Brussels. You have been 180 participants from 25 countries to attend this event. It has been a great opportunity to share experiences and reinforce the dynamics facilitating the implementation of EPODE and similar community-based initiatives at European and International levels. We received very positive feedback and we do hope that you have also appreciated the meeting.

This event has been the opportunity for the EEN to present the research conducted on the 4 EPODE pillars by the 4 associated university teams during the last 3 years. In the coming month, we will have the pleasure to communicate the full content of this research in the EEN book of recommendations.

We would like to give particular thanks to all the speakers for their valuable and enlightening presentations, the EU-Directorate General for Health and Consumers and all our partners for their continuous support and involvement. We thank as well all the participants for their most active contribution.

To access the different presentations of the symposium, please consult the EEN website

We look forward to welcoming you to the next EEN meetings and events,

Sincerely,

Jean-Michel Borys, MD, EEN Director
